Love this oil. It's the only thing I use for makeup removal now--it dissolves even waterproof mascara, yet is super gentle and nourishing for my skin. Contains squalane and rosehip oil, which are excellent for skin. Smells really nice too. I had trouble for a long time with makeup removers like micellar water that gave me irritation and **** reactions. Love that I got back to basics with this simple, natural, yet fantastic option. It now seems crazy to have tried so many chemical-filled options when a natural oil does a far better job.

I love this stuff. I tend towards dry skin, and if I use foaming or even mild hydrating cleansers it adds up to dry skin. This cleansing oil leaves my skin glowing and feeling clean and wonderful.

This cleansing oil is THAT girl. I will never use anything to cleanse my face again. It actually cleans and hydrates but not in the way you expect an oil-based product to. I feel like there is a misconception that oil cleansers are for people with dry skin and definitely not for people with normal/oily skin. But in reality, sometimes the skin overproduces oil when it's actually in need of it/lacking it. In a world of 1,000 step skincare routines, the Mad Hippie line has never failed me.

I wanted to like this so much

I wanted to like this so much, but the cleansing oil broke me out giving me weird white heads I never get and left a film on my face. My skin felt dirty every night after using it and like I was putting the rest of my skincare on top of a dirty face. It either wasn't taking all my makeup and sunscreen off, or something in the ingredient list just wasn't jiving with my skin. Unfortunately sending back...

Hi Jessie, Sorry it hasn't been working for you. When people report issues like this we find it is most often that they are not fully wiping the oil off after using. It's essential to rub it all off the skin as the oil pulls everything out and if then not fully wiped off, makeup, dirt etc is not fully removed. Water itself will not remove the oil, only a warm washcloth gently rubbed over the skin will do the trick. Either way, we are happy to refund or offer another cleanser to try :)

I’ve been using this cleansing oil for years and I’ll never go back to traditional facial cleansers. My skin is very sensitive and dry due to retinol and this product prevents that gross tight skin feeling that regular facial cleansers cause. Love supporting a natural company, too!

Does not remove makeup.

I love this brand but this product missed the mark. It does not remove waterproof makeup and I find I have to really scrub with a warm cloth to remove substantial makeup. I hope they improve the formula because I truly love this brand!

Hi Lilly, This product takes off most waterproof makeups we have tested. We are happy to offer a refund or exchange for the Jelly Cleanser, but both are oil based and tradiationally will easily take off makeup without stripping the skin :)
