Donating to Wands for Wildlife

Since the launch of our new make-up line in July, we've been receiving questions about what to do with the mascara wands once a tube of mascara has been used.
And guess what?
We have an answer! Donate them to Wands for Wildlife (https://www.appalachianwild. org/wands-for-wildlife.html)!
Wands for Wildlife is a small non-profit run by volunteers who use
donated mascara wands to remove fly eggs and larva from the fur and
feathers of orphaned wild animals. Mascara wands are the perfect size
and work wonderfully given that the bristles are so close together. If
you want to see photos of adorable critters being delicately groomed,
head over to the Wands for Wildlife website for a bit of heart-warming
imagery!

This inspiring and compassionate program has been a huge success, so
much so that donations are limited to twice a year: in February and
October. And with October just around the corner, we wanted to highlight
our support for Wands for Wildlife and also encourage our customers to
donate their used wands. It's an easy way to take action and make a
difference for animals in need.
Ready to donate? Great! Follow these simple steps (*Please only send
donations in February and October*):
1. Wash wands in warm, soapy water to remove any residual mascara
2. Fill out the donation form on their website
3. Send your completed form + cleaned wands to: Appalachian Wild, P.O.
Box 1211, Skyland, NC 28776
4. Tell your friends!
Wands for Wildlife also accepts monetary donations and has a wish list
on their website for other supplies to help save precious wildlife. You
can learn more by visiting their website.
