Dear customers in China,

 

On behalf of the Mad Hippie team, I would like to thank you for your support in the past.

To my great regret we have received feedback from some consumers that the Hydrating Nutrient Mist of this year’s batches have considerable differences with earlier ones in terms of scent, color, quality and user experiences. We will be happy to assist you to return the concerned products, issue a refund, and send them back to our U.S. lab for further tests.

We have not made any changes to the formula, and always strive to use the best natural ingredients. Due to the many natural ingredients featured, some variance batch to batch should be expected.

However, due to the much-disturbed international supply chain during the pandemic in 2020, we had to change bottle suppliers. The new bottles are lighter in color when compared with older ones. The graphics of the packaging have had some slight changes as well.  We added the letters “RP” on the label which is mandatory by the EU regulations. The name and address of the Belgium company which represents Mad Hippie in the EU is also printed on the packaging for compliance purposes. This does not mean these products are made in the EU or made for EU market only. We sell our products worldwide using the SAME packaging. As a result, the packaging of products you bought in China from authorized sellers have the same labels as those we sell in the EU.    

We do not have any manufacturing facilities outside of the U.S.A. All Mad Hippie products are mixed and packaged in the U.S.A . All Mad Hippie products sold by authorized sellers in China are shipped from our U.S warehouse directly via our sole distributor.

This year we have discovered that the first a few batches the phrase “Made in U.S.A” was omitted in the label because of the neglect of our new label manufacturer and we have requested that they rectify this mistake on future runs. Given the confusion with the Belgium address for international customers outside of the EU, we have decided to take this Belgium address off future packaging runs as well, and make unique packaging for the EU market. This change will happen over the coming 2-3 months.
